About the Artist

I established my studio in 2002 at The Splinter Group in East Austin. After many years designing and building custom furniture and other woodwork, I began playing with smaller pieces based around a series of flower vases. The work resonated with me and a big shift toward smaller objects ensued. I began incorporating epoxy resin and acrylic paint into my work in 2011 and have been making a substantial amount of sculpture and wall pieces in the past 7 years. In December of 2016 I established Eastwood, a line of wood and resin jewelry designs.

Artist Statement

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to pursue a creative career in East Austin for the past 21 years. The experiences I have had and the relationships I have formed are deeply meaningful to me. Getting the opportunity to establish Cloud Tree in 2016 and provide exhibition and work space for other working artists has also been a very important part of my body of work. Please come say hello and see what we have been up to.
