About the Artist
CONTRACOMMON is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization located in Central Texas that focuses on supporting emerging artists in a collaborative setting. Contracommon provides emerging artists with affordable workspace and access to our facilities in order to support their professional practices. The organization hosts both physical and digital platforms for emerging artists to exhibit their work, offers opportunities for professional development, and facilitates events that connect individual artists and the local community. Our 7000sq. ft. facility includes a dedicated 1200sq. ft. gallery space, 16 private artist studios for members, a wood shop, community dark room, and office space, in addition to a 3000sq. ft. flex area available for hosting workshops, classes and events.
Contracommon's pop-up exhibition at Willow House hosts local emerging artists Forrest Aderholt, Taylor Bailey, Kelsey Baker, Aria Brownell, Brock Caron, Alex Coronel, Amar Gupta, Molly Knobloch, Sadé Lawson, Iris Rylander, and Rachel Spits! Our multidisciplinary group works across all media including painting, printmaking, AR, photography, and fashion design.
