Artist Statement
As a nature enthusiast and avid gardener, I take my inspiration from the natural world. Many of the flora and fauna that inhabit my porcelain creations can be observed in my garden. My pieces are both functional and organic in form. Each piece is individually hand built or wheel thrown, sometimes carved, and embellished with hand crafted bas relief clay appliques. Each applique is painstakingly coated with blended glaze colors to create a stained glass or watercolor effect.
