About the Artist
I run a tiny design studio called Dingbat Co. out of my home office. The studio’s main focus is on brand identity, packaging, illustration, and typography projects. When I have downtime from client work, I create fonts, posters, and pins for the shop. Prior to going independent, I went from working a corporate tech job at IBM to a small design agency at Helms Workshop. These very different experiences helped shape my approach to design and working with clients, being able to adapt to a wide variety of projects. Off the clock, I’m the other half of Warlock Wares, a collaborative art project with Esteban Marquez.
Artist Statement
I create art through the lens of a graphic designer. I start off with rough sketches in my notebook that I bring to life in Adobe Illustrator or Procreate. My work gravitates toward simple shapes, bold colors, and expressive typography. I would describe my work as combining the practical with the playful.
