About the Artist
Been making art for about 13 years now. Writing for a lot longer. Sell my stuff for next to nothing. It's how I fight Capitalism. Started working with concrete this year. Seems appropriate as we are all being buried in cement here. Been working a lot with seduction and destruction. These two themes feel very apt for this town we are living in.
Artist Statement
In 1994, you could actually become a sell-out. That was a thing. And it was something most artists desperately tried to avoid. It could end your career, not start it. Somewhere in the 2000s, popular culture saw to it that the notion of guarding one's integrity became unimportant, minor, even absurd - certainly not even worth talking about anymore - let alone writing about.
