About the Artist
My agenda book in grade school never had a homework assignment. There was no room. A Volcom logo with legs, the Toy Machine characters, anime eyes covered the pages. The bottom of every skateboard deck, the design on the wheels, the packaging for the bearings. I was obsessed with illustrations and sketchy art-forms. Spray painting our friend’s basement garage just to see it drip down the walls.I’ve lived in Austin just over five years now, and I love the skate-tattoo-freeform culture pervasive all over. Walking from SoCo to Lamar, pausing at the street poles to snap photos of the stickered signs. It’s fun to be surrounded by so many artistic people.
