I make ceramics out of my garage studio in South Austin. After graduating from Southwestern University in 2015 with a B.A. in Art History, I moved back to Austin and began to develop my own studio practice. Right now I love working on larger one-of-a-kind decorative pieces that are detail oriented.
I make decorative, and sometimes functional, objects out of clay. I create patterns out of plants and flowers that are tied to important memories and places in my life. This year I have been making work that explores variation in patterns, textures, and forms with the same flower- the cornflower.
