This is a video showing my studio and some of the art I made. The main focus is on embroidery.
About the Artist
Veronica Mognato is an Italian visual artist and teaching artist living and working in Austin TX. Within her artistic practice, Veronica focuses on the concept of human connections. Living in the US has led her to investigate more on social issues and social dynamics.
Artist Statement
Current times have challenged human connections enormously.
These embroidered drawings are the result of connections between dots, dots that currently are difficult to unite. We can't look at the future without acknowledging the present. A present that is complicated, difficult to keep together and almost shattered. These embroidered drawings narrate a present history with the hope to sometime connect with a better future.
