Sculpting/constructing in steel, copper, wood, and initially cardboard maquette - each piece brings rigid planes, geometric shapes, lines, and voids into intersections with one another - to create volume and object.

Part visual expression/composition and part literal balancing act, these shapes are slotted or notched together rather than welded - allowing material tension and gravity to bind each piece.

With increases in scale and craft, I will extend these explorations from reading as compositional objects into experiential spaces - architecture that more completely engages the environment and the body.
