Artist Statement
2020 is a year of ebb and flow in my artistic creativity. A year that has summoned taking chances, replaced a comfortable way of being with living in a place of vulnerability, and taught me to move forward in an uncertain landscape.
My experimental drawings spring organically from a place of rawness; light and dark punctuated by flashes of color. These drawings are more spontaneous with no framing, just works on paper that offer freedom, healing, and an optimistic future.
